Introducing the Dolly Mama:
She is an irregular Baptist and United Church of Christ preacher, ordained 49 years, becoming more irreverent as the years become decades. She mixes Dolly Parton’s humor with the Dalai Lama’s laugh. She foolishly offers spiritual advice and tries to focus on all the things you’re not supposed to talk about like sex, money and politics. The opinions expressed here belong to no one but her.
#1 Dear Dolly,
What ever happened to the word Gay? Why does everybody say Queer now? And why do people correct me when I say “transvestite?”
Dear Query,
Why care thee so much about how the people you call everybody use their own words? Get a life. Use your own vocabulary.
Other peoples’ words are none of thy business. And everybody is a word that should be used rarely. Turn all your pronouns into thee, thou, and thy. Then keep your questions to yourself. Alternatively, you could add respect to your thinking.
Querulous and Tough Love,
Dolly
#2 Dear Dolly,
Do you have to believe in God to belong to a church?
Dear Unbeliever,
